1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of compross.com (the “Site”), operated by Pavel Vyacheslavovich Svistunov, an individual registered in the Russian Federation as self-employed (professional income tax payer), taxpayer ID (INN) 592109344780, email psvistunov@bk.ru (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. The service

The Site provides a free online tool to compress and convert video (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, WMV, FLV), images (JPG, PNG) and GIFs. No registration is required. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

All processing happens in your browser, on your device. Your files are not uploaded to our servers. Speed and results depend on your device, browser and the files themselves.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site to process content that is illegal or that infringes the rights of others;
• disrupt or attempt to disrupt the Site, including DDoS attacks, vulnerability scanning or automated mass requests;
• attempt unauthorized access to our servers or infrastructure;
• send spam, malware or misleading content through the “Report a problem” form.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the files you process and to the results. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you use, including the consent of people shown in your videos and photos where the law requires it.

5. Our intellectual property

The Site's design, code, texts and the Compross name belong to us or are used under licence, including open-source licences for third-party libraries. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the Site or its parts beyond normal use of the tool.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge. We do our best to make it reliable, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, compatible with every browser and device, or that results will meet your expectations. Always keep your original files and check the result (including the sound) before deleting the originals or publishing the video.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or loss of data arising from the use of the Site, including problems caused by your device, browser, network or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

8. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy policy.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always available at compross.com/terms-of-use.html. If you continue to use the Site after changes, you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. We'll try to resolve any dispute by negotiation first — please write to us.
